Prayer & Worship

“Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the Lord in the splendour of holiness”

1 Chronicles 16:28-29

We aim for prayer and worship to be at the foundation of all we do. Here are a few ways that you can request prayer:

Prayer email
Please allow us the honour of praying for you. There is a large group within the congregation who has committed to praying for all requests sent through this email chain. You can email prayer@friendship-bc.com

In-person
If you would like to receive prayer in person and are able, please come to our pre-service prayer on Sunday morning from 9:30-9:50am, or to our weekly prayer meeting on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30pm. If you are unable to come, there is a possibility we can visit you or arrange a phone call or online conversation. Please contact the church office for more information.

Prayer cards
There are prayer cards located at the back of the sanctuary that you can fill out and drop into a collection box. You can mark these prayer requests as especially confidential so that only one person sees and prays for your request, or you can indicate that the entire email prayer group can pray for you.

Here is how you can get involved in praying and worshiping:

Pre-service prayer
We gather at 9:30am to 9:50am on Sundays to pray for the upcoming service, our church family, and the greater community.

Prayer group on Wednesdays
We gather at 7:00pm to 8:30pm on Wednesdays in the church sanctuary to pray for each other, our community, and our country. Please join us in bringing our prayers and petitions before His throne of grace.

Prayer and Praise night
On the last Wednesday of each month we gather at 7:00pm in the church sanctuary for a time of prayer and worship. We encourage you to join us as we recognize and praise God for who He is and thank Him for His work in each of our lives, and to bring our prayers and petitions before His throne of grace.
